La playa
Quemado :
The Quemado
beach in Al Hoceima, was once one of the many beaches from where spanish troops
entered northern morocco. To do so, they first had to burn the forest which
used to exist and thus the name "Quemado" meaning "burnt".
Before the
new Mercure hotel, there used to be two previous hotels set at the beach, where
people came all the way from spain to stay.
